Alyce Caroline Mayo January 7, - March 7, Alyce was born in Long Island City and spent her early years on the East Coast. She graduated from Syracuse University where she met her husband, actor Peter Falk.
As a young woman, Alyce lived and worked in New York City as an illustrative artist and fabric designer, where she created one of the first Waverly designs. In the early 's, Alyce and Peter moved to Los Angeles. They had two daughters, Jacqueline and Catherine.
While raising her family, Alyce pursued many endeavors which fulfilled her artistic calling. She enjoyed painting, decoupage, interior design, sewing, needlework, and music. After obtaining a Master's degree in music, Alyce became a well-regarded piano teacher in the area and developed a wealth of students.
